Overview

Embedded analytics is the integration of analytical capabilities and data visualizations into another software application. It is about embedding real-time reports and dashboards. There is even the option to do something called white labeling, where the analytics platform is completely re-branded to blend in with the look and feel of the rest of the applications.

The relationship between embedded analytics and business intelligence (BI) is embedded analytics is a way of utilizing business intelligence. It takes on the role of providing an understanding and visualization of business data but does it outside the confines of a traditional BI system. Without embedding, stand-alone BI tools force users to switch back and forth between their preferred application and the tool.

There are several benefits of embedded analytics. It makes it easier for users to adopt new analytics capabilities and improve their user experience.

Regardless of how good the embedded analytics platform is, there are some things that are standard. One would be data preparation. Data preparation capabilities provide organizations with what they need to connect and extract data from multiple data sources while providing easy access to data outputs.
